The Illinois Department of Public Health and Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity have created the Phase 4 Guidelines for organizations to understand how they can continue operating safely as more restrictions are lifted across the state. Please follow these guidelines and encourage others in your community to do the same; the progress we have made against this virus must continue forward.
Please remember to practice the use of face coverings, physical distancing, hand washing, and getting tested. These are the proven best strategies to fight COVID-19. Be well and stay healthy.

Covid 19 FAQ’s as of June 26, 2020
We are following State of Illinois guidelines for summer day camps. These guidelines are fluid with each new phase of the Illinois Re-Opening Plan.
How many children will be in my child’s camp group?
Each group will have a max of 15 children. Each group will remain 30 ft from the other groups.
What is the counselor/camper ratio?
We will have 2 counselors for every group of 15 campers.
Does my child need to wear a mask at camp? During active and outdoor play where physical distancing is possible, campers will not need to wear a mask. During indoor activities and activities where physical distancing of 6 ft is not possible, they will need to wear a face covering. When masks are not being worn, they will be kept in individual supply boxes in a sealed bag.
Does my child have to have a temperature check each day?
Yes! Each staff member and camper must have a temperature check done prior to coming to camp. There will be a temperature check station at the drop off site for your camp. Each temperature must be logged each day. If a temperature is 100.4 degrees or higher or refusal of temperature check the camper/staff member will not be admitted that day.
How will sanitation of supplies work?
Each camper will have their own labeled box of supplies to use at camp (i.e. crayons, markers, scissors etc.). These supplies will be sanitized at the end of each week. Community items such as sports equipment will be sanitized before and after each camp group uses it.
What about personal hygiene?
Each camper and staff member will be required to wash their hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer:
Before and after eating or preparing any food.
After touching frequently touched items (doorknobs, railings, counters etc.)
Upon entering the building
After using the restroom
After using common items, (sports equipment, art supplies)
Before and after playground play
What about public restrooms?
The outside park bathrooms will be open to the public and will be cleaned and sanitized regularly.
Campers will use the indoor downstairs bathrooms during their camp day. Indoor bathrooms will be sanitized every 2 hours. The outside bathrooms will be used by campers only for an emergency bathroom situation.
Can my child bring a drink with them to camp?
Yes. Your camper can bring a disposable water/sports drink bottle to camp with them each day. It must be clearly labeled with their name and when the bottle is empty it must be thrown in the trash and the camper will receive water in disposable cups after that. All items brought to camp must be one-time use and disposable. NO REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLES.
Does my child have to participate in the free lunch program?
No. Your child can bring their own lunch with them to camp. All items in the lunch including the bag must be disposable. NO REUSABLE BAGS OR CONTAINERS.
